Solar Power International is a conference for all things solar. In 2010 I worked on the marketing team for the conference and created an original design for the website. The timeframe for developing the design was limited and despite not being part of determining the overall organization of the site I was able to propose a new design that was bright and functional. I then worked closely with the development team to ensure that the design was properly rendered. I also tracked and reported on the site analytics.
The social media aspect of this project included developing a twitter feed to the website, creating a custom Facebook tab for opting-in to the the e-newsletter, and building a YouTube site to show interviews with presenters and attendees. By integrating these social media tools the conference was shared more often around the web and set records for attendance numbers.
I also designed all of the banner ads and html e-mail templates, managed their timelines, and reported on the metrics.
